Buyers and advertisers
Hidalgo County counts 2,158 locations of the kinds of businesses that buy ads, up 7.4% over the period measured, and 80.2% of them have under 10 employees. These are county figures, not Mercedes' own, yet they show that an advertiser here faces small, local competitors more than national names.

With 16.8% over 65
Pharmacies, clinics and repair crews serving the 16.8% over 65 schedule ads for mornings and show a large phone number first. Reports compare morning calls with evening ones to refine the hours.
Two districts, many campuses
Tutors, uniform shops and child care near the Dr. Hector P. Garcia Library name the district a family uses and run in the late afternoon. Meta Ads (Facebook and Instagram) can announce enrollment dates to nearby households.
