Waxahachie has 47,201 residents in the 2023 estimate, up 14.8% from 2020, and visitors on top of that.

Minto Communities closed in February 2026 on 3,170 acres, a land purchase that signals growth beyond the square, for a 13,270-home plan the city council approved on January 28, with construction expected to start in late 2026, which will bring a wave of new households and new advertisers.
Competition across Ellis County varies by trade. Roofing contractors number 42 (3.24 times the typical county, 38 of them small, up 55.6%), plumbing, heating and air-conditioning firms 101 (1.41 times) and electrical contractors 62 (1.24 times). Real estate agents total 67 (up 86.1%), while dentists, at 48, are thinner than typical (0.77 times). Crowded trades need sharper rings and landing pages, and thinner ones can start with a simple account.

A first-visit offer, an arrival window or a plain estimate process works better than adjectives, and many have no regular provider yet because they moved recently.
Daytime habits favor evening calls. Only 6.1% of workers work from home against 9.5% typical, and manufacturing is the largest resident industry, so many people search from a phone after the shift. Ad schedules, call extensions and message options should reflect that. Some 14.2% of residents speak Spanish at home, below the 17.9% typical, so English leads and a Spanish ad group is a later test where your own customers ask.
Visitors act on a different clock. During the Scarborough Renaissance Festival, which the mayor has said sends hotels to roughly 90 to 95% occupancy, a visitor searches for food, fuel or lodging near the grounds within hours of arriving.
