Construction employs 15,643 working residents (12.7%), retail trade 14,762 (12%), health care 12,740 (10.3%) and manufacturing 12,543 (10.2%). The city's economic development site calls Garland one of the largest manufacturing centers in Texas, with more than 300 manufacturers, and names Garland ISD, the City of Garland, Kraft Heinz, Sherwin-Williams and Epiroc as top employers. Industrial buyers search by part, process and certification, so ads aimed at them need a landing page with capabilities and a short request form.
Contractor categories are active in Dallas County, and the counts are county-wide.
