Get results in days, not monthsResults in days, not monthsWhat does an ad need to say to someone who is 24, rents by the school year and has never hired a plumber in this town? In Nacogdoches that is not a rare reader. The median age is 24.4 against 35.2 in the typical Texas city, 63.1% of households rent, and Stephen F. Austin State University enrolled 10,472 students in fall 2024 according to Wikipedia. The same search results also serve heritage visitors, plant workers and families, so a single campaign gets none of them right.
A GetPhound plan gives each Nacogdoches service its own campaign and matching landing page, from the brick streets to the campus, with tracking on calls and forms and a monthly conversation with a dedicated account manager. That is what Google Ads management for Nacogdoches businesses looks like in practice. Bing Ads and Meta Ads (Facebook and Instagram) are options for later, after the first search campaigns settle. There is no setup fee, and no month is promised in advance.

Rank 180 out of 203 in Texas
Figures: ACS 2018-2022, Census population estimates, County Business Patterns 2022. A bar places Nacogdoches among the 203 Texas cities in this set and nowhere else. How it is scored: methodology. As of October 2026.
Targeting by place
The right radius depends on where the customer is standing. These nine places, drawn from our Nacogdoches County research, each point to a different bid schedule, headline or landing page.
| Place | Targeting notes |
|---|---|
| Brick streets | Downtown merchants on the 1917 brick can run a tight radius and an ad that shows today's hours, plus a parking note for visitors. |
| Charles Bright Visitor Center | Heritage travelers arrive here first, so restaurants and galleries nearby can use mobile ads with tap-to-navigate during open hours. |
| Old Stone Fort Museum | The 1936 rebuild at 1808 Alumni Drive sits on campus, so lodging and food ads can overlap student and visitor interests. |
| Millard's Crossing | The 37-acre village at 6020 North Street draws families, which suits weekend-only bids for fuel stops and diners. |
| Pineywoods Native Plant Center | Nurseries and garden suppliers can aim short-radius ads at people near the 42-acre garden at the campus edge. |
| El Camino Real | State Highway 21 follows the old royal road, so ads for shops along it can mention distance in minutes and a direct phone number. |
| Eastex Freeway | Travelers on U.S. 59 search by exit, so fast-casual, auto and lodging ads should use location extensions and call buttons. |
| Nacogdoches Medical Center | At 4920 NE Stallings Drive, clinics and pharmacies nearby can run a small radius with mobile-heavy bids for people searching from a parked car. |
| Texas Blueberry Festival | Held on the second Saturday in June, it supports a short burst of food, craft and parking ads that stop when the day ends. |
Each place name is informal, taken from municipal, county or regional publications.
Behind the click
Renters hold 63.1% of households, median rent is $873 (typical: $1,313) and only 20% of residents are under 18, so the people tapping an ad are mostly adults on their own. They want the service, the price range and the next step in the first line. A headline that names the job, a button that calls and a landing page that confirms hours beat a clever slogan. Parents of students, who likely search for lodging and restaurants, form a smaller second audience.
Money is tight: the median household earns $37,612 compared with $76,686, 30.9% of residents are below the poverty line and unemployment is 8.2%. Student households probably inflate those figures, which is our reading and not a counted fact. Median home value is $161,000. Ads that promise a flat visit fee, a free estimate or a clear service area earn trust faster than vague offers, and a form with three fields converts better than one with ten.
Daily rhythm is local. Only 5.5% of workers stay home and 8.4% commute 45 minutes or more (typical: 15.6%), so clicks come near lunch, after class and on weekends. The population went from 32,148 to an estimated 32,156, growth of 0.1%, so ads reach many of the same people month after month. Spanish is spoken at home by 12.5% of residents, a smaller share than the typical 17.9%, so a Spanish ad group is a later test.
Nacogdoches County's auction is thin. Across the twelve ad-heavy categories on our list, the county holds 215 establishments (32.9 per ten thousand residents, a 4.4% decline), and 75.8% of them are small firms, which makes PPC in Nacogdoches a small-budget contest. Physicians' offices number 65 (2.47 times typical, down 18.7%), law offices 24 (1.28 times), dentists 24 (1.32 times, up 9.1%) and insurance agencies 26. These are county counts of establishments, not advertisers, but they say clinics and law offices need specific ad groups while several trades face little crowding.
Campaign plan
Rentals, movers, repairs
With 63.1% of households renting, bids rise when students arrive and ease in quiet weeks. Headlines name the job, and every ad carries a call button and a clear service area.
Near Stephen F. Austin State
Food, printing and car-care businesses near the Old Stone Fort Museum can run a radius that stops at the campus neighborhood. Term-start schedules keep the budget for the weeks that matter.
Brick streets and villages
Visitors reach the Charles Bright Visitor Center and Millard's Crossing by phone. Location assets and tap-to-navigate help restaurants, galleries and lodging appear when someone is deciding where to stop.
Research is not shopping
People searching the history of the Old Stone Fort or El Camino Real are often researchers, not customers. We add negative terms for history and facts so the budget goes to people looking to buy.
65 physicians' offices
In a county with 65 physicians' offices and 24 dentists, one campaign per specialty keeps ads relevant. A small radius around Nacogdoches Medical Center with mobile bids reaches patients who search from the parking lot.
Texas Blueberry Festival
Food, craft and parking advertisers can run a short burst of higher bids before the Texas Blueberry Festival on the second Saturday in June, then drop back to a quiet baseline the next day.
The six ideas that follow suit the size and the calendar of this market, from Stephen F. Austin State University move-in to the Texas Blueberry Festival. Month one is mostly conversion tracking and a few focused campaigns, with spending increased only where call records justify it.
Buyers and bidders
The 2017 city financial report lists Stephen F. Austin State University at 1,659 employees, Pilgrim's Pride at 1,657, Nacogdoches ISD at 972 and the Nacogdoches County Hospital District at 874. Because the list is old, quote it with its year. Advertisers who sell to these workforces should lean on the service and the hours, not on an employer's name, and the university's fall 2025 enrollment rise of 7% suggests demand around campus may be growing.
Census industry tables for a university town show retail trade with 2,476 residents, education with 2,427, accommodation and food services with 1,826, health care with 1,755 and manufacturing with 1,416. Retail and classroom jobs follow school calendars, so shoppers appear in waves: move-in, midterms, breaks and graduation. A business that shifts bids toward those waves wastes less than one that spreads spending evenly across the year.
Nacogdoches Medical Center and the county hospital district give clinics a competitive field, and Pilgrim's Pride at 928 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard anchors a plant workforce. Searches by people looking for work at those employers can look like shopping searches, so negative terms for careers, hiring and applications belong in every campaign. The monthly search-term report shows which phrases are spending money without producing calls.
The people shopping
What people do for work affects when they search and what they can pay for. The six biggest sectors for employed Nacogdoches residents are listed below.

| Retail trade | 16.9% |
| Education | 16.6% |
| Accommodation and food services | 12.5% |
| Health care and social assistance | 12% |
| Manufacturing | 9.7% |
| Other services (repair, personal care, nonprofits) | 5.5% |

Before the first dollar
Type in customer value, margin and the share of leads that close. It shows the break-even lead price and the customers needed each month to cover management. Nothing you enter leaves this page.
Fees
The fee is flat, billed monthly, and depends only on how many platforms we run. No contract applies. Money for clicks is a separate budget that Google, Bing or Meta collect from you. Planning on more than $10K monthly in ad spend? Book a call.
Good to know
The fee is a flat monthly amount: one platform runs $895, two cost $1,595 and all three come to $2,295. No contract is involved. The platforms bill your click budget separately, and we size it from what a customer is worth to you. Each plan is laid out above, and the pricing page adds the details.
A broken refrigerator or a lockout can bring a call on launch day, since renters rarely wait. Furniture or a full move is a slower decision, and the first weeks go to testing ads, radius and pages. Nobody can name a date in advance, so the monthly report shows calls and forms by campaign and you measure how long Google Ads takes to bring leads in Nacogdoches against your own bookings.
We begin with the manager's own numbers: what a signed lease is worth, how many inquiries become tours and how many units sit empty at the start of a term. The first Google Ads budget for Nacogdoches landlords is a draft, adjusted as tracked calls arrive around the Stephen F. Austin State University calendar.
Google first, because someone searching for coffee near the university already wants it, and a Google Ads agency in Nacogdoches can see that in call data within weeks. Meta Ads (Facebook and Instagram) can follow with photos and event reminders. Starting with one channel keeps the first month easy to read and the brick streets customers easy to track.
Some will, because a search for work at Pilgrim's Pride can look like a search for services. Negative terms such as jobs, hiring and apply remain on the block list, and headlines describe the product. Each month's search-term report removes anything that spent money without a call.
Some history researchers will, and paid search in Nacogdoches cannot tell a student writing a paper from a tourist. We use negative terms for history, facts and free tours so the budget goes to people who want to buy lodging, food or souvenirs. The Old Stone Fort Museum draws curiosity, but a tight radius and clear offer separate the customers from the students writing papers.
As short windows. Raise bids in the days before move-in and before the Texas Blueberry Festival on the second Saturday in June, then lower them. Past call records show which days produced bookings, so each year's schedule improves on the last.
Count new-patient calls and booked visits, not wrong numbers or job inquiries. With 24 dentists in Nacogdoches County, call tracking can tag each source and show which ad groups bring appointments. That tells the office whether to keep the cleaning campaign or move money to emergency visits.
OpenAI is testing labeled sponsored placements for users on its free and lower-priced plans, sold through a self-serve ad manager. Targeting is by country or topic, not by keyword, and measurement is young, so a small test is the sensible way in. Google Ads stays the usual first move; ask us if a test is on your mind.
