One campaign per state
A business that serves both cities runs a campaign for each, with its own landing page, state and phone number. Reports then show which side of State Line Avenue produces calls, so budget follows results.

Get results in days, not monthsResults in days, not monthsTwo shoppers can stand a few steps apart on State Line Avenue, one in Bowie County and one in Miller County, and still sit in different Google Ads locations. One is in Texas, the other in Arkansas. The Texas city counted 36,156 residents, the pair totals 65,580 and the metro area held 149,482 in 2020, so Google Ads in Texarkana targets a market bigger than a single city but cut in two by a line that ad settings treat as real. A campaign that ignores the line wastes money or misses customers, which is why PPC for Texarkana companies begins with the map.
With GetPhound, each service along State Line Avenue gets its own campaign, a landing page that states the state and the street, and tracking on every call and form, with a monthly review led by an account manager. Bing Ads and Meta Ads (Facebook and Instagram) can come later if search is steady. Nothing is charged for setup, and the arrangement stays month to month.

Rank 123 out of 203 in Texas
Figures: ACS 2018-2022, Census population estimates, County Business Patterns 2022. A bar places Texarkana among the 203 Texas cities in this set and nowhere else. How it is scored: methodology. As of October 2026.
Targeting by place
A radius means something only when it matches a place customers drive to. These nine places from our Bowie County research each suggest a schedule, a headline or a separate landing page.
| Place | Targeting notes |
|---|---|
| State Line Avenue | Run Texas and Arkansas as separate campaigns on either side, so a downtown shop can see whether its phone rings from Bowie County or Miller County. |
| Post Office and Federal Building | The 1933 building at 500 N. State Line Avenue is a famous landmark, and a location extension that names it helps a nearby office give directions in four words. |
| Ace of Clubs House | Cafes and lodging near 420 Pine Street can show ads to downtown visitors on weekdays, with hours that match the museum schedule. |
| Texarkana Museums System | Four downtown sites mean family visitors search for food and parking, so short-radius mobile ads with a map button fit that moment. |
| Perot Theatre | Restaurants within walking distance can raise bids for the hours before a performance and pause afterward. |
| Texarkana College | Campus-adjacent businesses can use term-start schedules for food, printing and repairs, with a radius small enough to avoid paying for the whole county. |
| Texas A&M University-Texarkana | Enrollment rose 40 percent from fall 2023 to fall 2025, so housing, tutoring and car-care ads near Bringle Lake can be tested at the start of each term. |
| Texarkana Regional Airport | The airport sits on the Arkansas side, so hotels and rental businesses should say the state in the ad and aim at travelers arriving by air. |
| Four States Fair and Rodeo | The 2025 edition was the 80th annual and drew about 60,000 visitors, a short window for lodging, fuel and food bids. |
Each place name is informal, taken from municipal, county or regional publications.
Behind the click
The first decision is geography. Ad settings can aim at a named city, a radius or a set of areas, and a radius drawn around State Line Avenue will cross into Arkansas unless you tell it not to. A business that works only in Texas should draw the line deliberately; one that serves both sides should run two campaigns so reports show which side calls. The pair shares a chamber, a water utility and a post office, but its phone numbers carry different area codes.
The audience is cost-conscious. Median household income is $48,054 compared with $76,686 in the typical Texas city, 22% of residents live below the poverty line, median rent is $913 and 49.3% of households rent. About 17.2% of residents are 65 or older (typical: 12.6%), so the phone number belongs at the top of the landing page in large type. Offers that state what a visit includes beat vague promises.
People here stay close. Only 4.1% of workers commute three-quarters of an hour or more, compared with 15.6% in the typical city, and 4.7% work from home. The population slipped 1.4% from 2020 to an estimated 35,741, so growth is not the audience; loyalty is. Spanish is spoken at home by 5.9% of residents, so English ads and pages are the first priority, with a translated page as a later test.
Bowie County's crowd is easy to see. Across the dozen ad-heavy categories we follow, the county holds 373 establishments, which works out to 40.7 per ten thousand residents (growth of 1.6%), and 79.9% of them are small firms. Physicians' offices number 76 (2.06 times the typical density), law offices 50 (1.9 times), dentists 38 (1.49 times, down 7.3%) and real estate agents 35 (1.53 times, up 118.8%). Landscapers number 31, up 19.2%. Those are establishment counts for the county, not a count of advertisers, but they mark categories where generic ads would be buried.
Campaign plan
Texas and Arkansas separately
A business that serves both cities runs a campaign for each, with its own landing page, state and phone number. Reports then show which side of State Line Avenue produces calls, so budget follows results.
76 physicians' offices
In Bowie County, with 76 physicians' offices and 50 law offices, a general medical or legal ad is easily lost. We build a campaign per specialty or practice area, each with a matching page and a phone number that is tracked.
Perot Theatre hours
Restaurants and parking near the Perot Theatre can lift bids in the hours before a performance and drop them afterward. The schedule comes from the venue's calendar, and call records show whether it works.
Four States Fair and Rodeo
Lodging, fuel and food businesses can plan a short, higher budget around the Four States Fair and Rodeo, which drew about 60,000 visitors in 2025. Ads show distance in minutes and a tap-to-call button.
Depot and tire plant hiring
Searches for work at Red River Army Depot, Cooper Tire & Rubber or Christus St. Michael Health System can resemble shopping searches. Negative terms for careers, jobs and apply protect a small budget, and each month's search-term report refines them.
Customers from outlying towns
With the nearest other city in our Texas set 75 miles away, the Bowie County market acts as a regional hub. A tested campaign with a wider radius for services people travel for, such as dental and furniture, shows whether outlying calls justify the spend.
These ideas follow Texarkana's numbers and places. Month one is usually tracking, a few focused campaigns and a careful look at where the radius falls on each side of State Line Avenue.
Buyers and bidders
The 2021 city report quoted on Wikipedia lists Red River Army Depot and tenants at 2,225 employees, Christus St. Michael Health System at 1,800 and Cooper Tire & Rubber at 1,793. The depot is about 19 miles west of the city, so many of its workers live outside it and search for services on the way home. Advertisers selling to those workforces should write ads for the service and the hour, never the employer's name.
Health care and social assistance employs 2,668 residents, accommodation and food services 2,057 and retail trade 1,897, with education at 1,418 and manufacturing at 1,410. Care providers cluster around Christus St. Michael Health System and Wadley Regional Medical Center, which a 2010 chamber list put at 778 employees. That cluster means health-related ads face the heaviest competition, so ad groups should follow a single procedure or specialty.
Texarkana College and Texas A&M University-Texarkana add students and staff who buy in waves. Texarkana ISD, listed at 1,100 employees in the same 2010 chamber list, adds teachers and families. Retailers and service firms can map those waves onto an ad calendar: heavier at term starts and after school hours, lighter during breaks, with search-term reports showing what people actually type.
The people shopping
What people do for work affects when they search and what they can pay for. These six sectors employ the most Texarkana residents.
| Sector | Share of employed residents |
|---|---|
| Health care and social assistance | 17.8% |
| Accommodation and food services | 13.7% |
| Retail trade | 12.7% |
| Education | 9.5% |
| Manufacturing | 9.4% |
| Public administration | 5.8% |

Rival bidders
County is as small as the Census gets for these counts, so each row covers Bowie County, not Texarkana alone. Compare each density with the median U.S. county, where 1.0x is typical and 2.0x is double.

Peers by profile
Peers are the nearest fit to Texarkana across population, income, age, renting, density, Spanish at home, seasonal housing and seniors. Each name opens that city's guide.

|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Texarkana, TX (this city) | 45 | 36,156 | $158,400 | 4.7% | 4.1% |
| Greenville, TX | 20.5 | 28,923 | $170,800 | 6.1% | 21.2% |
| Sherman, TX | 31.6 | 44,052 | $197,400 | 8.2% | 11.3% |
| Orange, TX | 9.6 | 19,221 | $140,200 | 2.2% | 12.7% |
| Brownwood, TX | 30.6 | 18,820 | $113,200 | 3.1% | 3.5% |

Management pricing
The fee is flat, billed monthly, and depends only on how many platforms we run. No contract applies. Money for clicks is a separate budget that Google, Bing or Meta collect from you. Above $10K a month in ad spend? Let us talk first.
Asked in Texarkana
Monthly and flat: one platform runs $895, two cost $1,595 and all three come to $2,295. Nothing is signed. The platforms bill your click budget separately, and we size it from what a customer is worth to you. Each plan is laid out above, and the pricing page adds the details.
Urgent jobs, such as a burst pipe or a dead outlet, can produce calls the day a campaign goes live. Planned work takes longer, often two to four weeks while ads and pages are tested. Nothing is promised, and the monthly report lists calls and forms by campaign so you judge from your own Bowie County jobs.
We start from the firm: what a typical new client is worth, how many inquiries become matters and how many cases the staff can take. Bowie County has 50 law offices, so the first draft of a budget for Google Ads in Texarkana focuses on one or two practice areas and changes as tracked calls arrive.
Only if you serve both. A Texas business that does not work in Arkansas should exclude the Miller County side, while one that crosses should run two campaigns with their own pages and numbers. The first month's reports show which side of State Line Avenue produces calls.
Google first, since people searching for a meal before a show at the Perot Theatre are ready to pick one. Meta Ads (Facebook and Instagram) can follow with photos and a reminder of show-night hours. One channel at a time keeps the first month easy to read.
Some will, because a search for work at Red River Army Depot or Cooper Tire & Rubber can resemble a service search. Negative terms such as jobs, hiring and apply stay on the block list, and headlines describe the product. The monthly search-term report catches whatever slips through.
It shows how many calls come from each side of State Line Avenue and at what hour. A caller in Miller County may carry a different area code from one in Bowie County, so the report helps you see whether the Arkansas campaign earns its budget before you expand it.
Raise bids in the weeks before the fair and lower them afterward, using last year's call records. The 2025 edition was the 80th and drew about 60,000 visitors, so a hotel near Texarkana Regional Airport or the interstate can show distance and availability in the ad itself.
OpenAI is testing labeled sponsored placements for users on its free and lower-priced plans, sold through a self-serve ad manager. Targets are coarse and the reporting is still developing, and that argues for a small experiment, not a core budget. Google Ads stays the usual first move; ask us if a test is on your mind.
